The 2nd BLUE DEAL Transferring Lab will be held in hybrid mode with online and on-site presentations from 18-21 May 2021. The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture, University of Zagreb (UNIZAG FSB) and the BLUE DEAL partnership, in collaboration with the Split-Dalmatia County, organise the hybrid Lab focusing on the county area.
This laboratory aims to present and discuss possible scenarios for the development of Blue Energy for Split-Dalmatia County, supported with technical, environmental, economic and social assessments. Such comprehensive work aims to bring together all interested stakeholders to foster the deployment of Blue Energy sources.
Following our Agenda, during the first day, 18/05, regional priorities on Blue Energy will be presented and the perspectives that exist at the European level for the development of this promising sector, especially offshore wind. The second day, 19/05, is predetermined to show the results of the analysis that are carried out, alongside the virtual study visits with the examples of successful, related projects.
The third day, or Industry day, is based on the presentations from the R&D entities that will show their ongoing work and projects. Moreover, particular focus will be given to the funding opportunities for project roll-up. Finally, the last day is reserved for School visits and familiarisation of the youth with the blue energy sector in general.
