Dr. Takvor Soukissian holds a PhD in Ocean Hydrodynamics from the School of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). He is Research Director at the Institute of Oceanography of the Hellenic Centre for Marine Research. Dr. Soukissian is chairman of the working group on Marine renewable energy of the European Marine Board, and lead author of Chapter 16: “Developments in renewable energy sources”, World Ocean Assessment II, 2021, United Nations publication. He is reviewer in 40 scientific journals and author of more than 120 peer reviewed publications in journals and international conferences.
