Katija Šimunović was born on July 3rd, 1993 in Dubrovnik.

She has graduated from the Faculty of Mining, Geology and Petroleum Engineering in 2017. She worked as a marketing associate in a construction firm. In 2019. she started working at Croatian Hydrocarbon Agency as Professional Associate in Environment Protection and Safety Sector where she participates in activities related to tender procedure, issuance of permits for geothermal water exploration (preparation of tender documentation and support during tender procedure, maps in GIS programs, bid evaluation) and activities related to the Coordination for safety in offshore exploration and exploitation of hydrocarbons (review of the Report on major hazards for offshore instalations, verification of compliance obligation from the environmental monitoring report).
