Goran Krajacic is associated professor at University of Zagreb - Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture (FSB). He has been working on the many international, EU and national projects for development of smart and sustainable energy systems with 100% supply from renewable sources. He has experience in development of strategies for achieving 100% RES energy systems as well as development of sustainable Energy Action Plans (SEAPs) for local communities on the islands. Currently, he is coordinating FSB’s participation in the Horizon 2020 project INSULAE- Maximizing the impact of innovative energy approaches in the EU islands (http://insulae-h2020.eu/).
Since 2002 he has been a member of local organising committee of the SDEWES Conferences and with other professors he established the International Centre for Sustainable Development of Energy, Water and Environment Systems – SDEWES in 2008 (www.sdewes.org). Goran acts as Energy Transition in Urban Regions Working group leader at the European Sustainable Energy Innovation Alliance – eseia (www.eseia.eu) and he is Editorial Board Member at the journal Smart Energy (https://www.journals.elsevier.com/smart-energy/ ) and guest editor at the journal Energy Conversion and Management (https://www.journals.elsevier.com/energy-conversion-and-management).
