After graduating in Chemical Engineering at the Polytechnic of Turin, I worked for over 8 years in international university cooperation programs, first as a volunteer and then as an expert at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In this activity, carried out in Latin America (Costa Rica and Chile), I was in charge of the management of research and training projects in the field of environmental sciences.

After my international experience I was, for 8 years, director of a service company in the field of marine research.

Since 2001, I am Director of CoNISMa; I work on relations with the 35 associated universities, on the management of the main projects and I am the head of the staff.

From 2003 to 2010 I was Managing Director of the shipping company that managed CoNISMa oceanographic research vessel the "Universitatis".
